Eligibility Criteria for Participation
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar.

- Both Raiyyat (landowners) and Non-Raiyyat farmers are eligible.
- The farmerās family should consist of a husband, wife, and children as per official records.
- A minimum of 33% crop damage due to flooding from heavy rainfall or monsoon storms is required.
- The farmerās bank account must be linked with Aadhaar for direct benefit transfer.
Compensation Rates Under the Scheme
To ensure fair compensation, the Bihar Government has set the following rates per hectare, with a maximum payout for two hectares per farmer:
- Non-Irrigated Agricultural Land: Rs. 8,500 per hectare
- Irrigated Agricultural Land: Rs. 17,000 per hectare
- Perennial Crops (e.g., Sugarcane): Rs. 22,500 per hectare
A minimum compensation is also assured:
- Non-Irrigated Land: Rs. 1,000
- Irrigated Land: Rs. 2,000
- Perennial Crops: Rs. 2,500
